Flora Sharpe

Flora Sharpe is the Executive Director of the Miramichi Regional Multicultural Association (MRMA), where she advocates for the interests of people of all heritages. She speaks to newcomer’s, educators, students, professional organizations and the community to promote cross cultural bridging in order to build understanding, inclusion and diversity in the region.
Flora arrived to Miramichi after a brief visit in 2005 with her husband and son, and decided to move from Ontario to make this beautiful city their home.
She also has nine years of experience as an interior designer. She loves transforming homes by merging Fashion with Art and has worked with clients in New Brunswick, Ontario and the US. Her background includes Fashion Art at Fanshawe College, Interior Design at Vancouver’s Interior Design Institute.
In addition to Design and working at MRMA, Flora sets aside time to volunteer with the Lower Derby Baptist Church (LDBC) at the Atlantic Correctional Institution (Renous). She is always looking for ways to encourage growth within herself, her family, friends and the community.
When she is not working, Flora enjoys spending time with her family, attending LDBC, travelling, shopping, reading and watching classical movies; her favourite being Pride and Prejudice.

Stephanie Clark Fowler

Stephanie was born and raised in Halifax Nova Scotia. After she graduated from Prince Andrew High School, she traveled abroad throughout Europe, The United States and Canada.
She worked as a sea kayak instructor and was one of the first female CRCA certified kayak instructors in Nova Scotia. She also worked as a coordinator for the Halifax Regional Recreation Department. Stephanie went on to attend and graduate from the world-renowned facility, The Stratford Chef School in Stratford, Ontario
Stephanie was married and had two beautiful little boys. In time, she was accepted, attended and graduated from the Nova Scotia Firefighter School. Stephanie moved to Miramichi 3 years ago where she proudly stood as the first female volunteer firefighter in Miramichi. Stephanie's volunteer firefighting career was short lived due to pregnancy complications and several miscarriages, she consequently had to retire.
Stephanie started her own company called Go 4 Tess, a concierge/personal errands company that primarily works with the overwhelming seniors population in Miramichi. Most recently she had amalgamated her cooking background with her passion for nutrition and has linked arms with a company that is delivering the best super foods nutrition on the planet through nutritional cleansing . Since starting with this company Stephanie has been able to work from home with her new baby, and really become the women she has always known she was deep inside. Happy, healthy, confident and ready to take on the world.
Stephanie and her new husband have truly been blessed and are very thankful for their little blended family of 4 boys and their biggest baby, Chicken (6 year old black lab).
Stephanie is honoured and humbled to be the newest Vice President of WOMEN and is very excited to start working with the rest of the board and fellow members to make this next two years absolutely incredible. Stephanie looks forward to bringing awareness of the group and what it is doing for the community and the residents of this great city of Miramichi.

Amy Richard

Amy MacTavish Richard is a wife, dog mom, and Manager of one of the local Bell Mobility locations. Amy was born in Miramichi, and moved around during her childhood until her family came back to Miramichi in 1992.
Amy has worked at Bell for 11 years, and has been the manager for the past 9 years, she was a top performer for 2011-2012, attending an awards ceremony in Banff, Alberta. It was through Bell she found a love of business.
She attended Saint Mary's University in Halifax and loved the City, but her heart was still here in the Miramichi.
Through past work she has helped with fundraising for charities. In the past she helped the Miramichi Youth House, and helped organize a black tie fundraiser for the Children’s Wish Foundation.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys going to dinners, movies, horseback riding, fitness and reading.

Paula Corcoran

Paula Corcoran’s inspiration is her family and her community. Paula is a proud First Nations woman originally from Eel Ground First Nation, she now resides in Strathadam. She is the Social Media Manager for Towne Auto Group which includes Towne Ford, Towne Mazda, and Towne Auto Center, and she is also a Stella & Dot stylist, and an entrepreneur.
In the past Paula worked as an Economic Development Officer, encouraging the development of small businesses in Eel Ground and around Miramichi. She still assists those in need with business planning, marketing, and social media when the time is available and will never say no to an up-and-coming entrepreneur in need of encouragement!
As an Entrepreneur, Paula shares her love of fashion, décor, design and weddings in her business, Sugar and Spice Events and Décor, which she started in August 2011. She saw a need for this service in the Miramichi area when planning her own wedding and embarked on the adventure to be the ‘go-to’ shop of event planning and décor for all types of events from weddings to grand openings, birthdays, baby showers and everything in between. She is now the official decorator for most major events in Miramichi, such as the Josie Foundation gala, Chamber of Commerce Events, and of course our very own Women of Influence Gala.
Through Sugar & Spice she also helps with fundraising for charities such as the Miramichi Youth House, Children’s Wish Foundation, The Mount St. Joseph Foundation, and many other that request her services. Her door is always open for charities in need so don’t be afraid to reach out.

Candace Arsenault-MacDonald

Candace Arsenault - MacDonald is a proud wife and public servant. She was born and raised in Miramichi and believes there is no place like home.
Since 2013, Candace has been working as a Compensation Advisor with the Miramichi Pay Center. She feels this has been an amazing opportunity for her as she builds her life in Miramichi. She is passionate about customer service and has taken every training opportunity to help enrich her career with the Federal Government and grow into her position. Throughout her work history she was blessed to have a number of strong, smart, talented women as leaders and role models. When women empower eachother the outcome is amazing.
Being creative is the important to Candace. From painting and crafting to woodcarving and sculpting; she enjoys making the world more beautiful any way she can. With the help of her husband, they create and sell wooden decoys and sculptures at local seasonal markets. She has been creating art for as long as she can remember and brings creativity to anything that she takes on.
When Candace is not working or painting she loves spending time with friends and family or can be found working in her gardens. She beleives in the power of positivity and her favorite quote is " Be the Change you Wish to see in This World". Having a giving heart, speaking with kindness and volunteering around her community are all ways she brings the spirit of the quote into her daily life.

Annette Comeau

Annette is the owner/manager of RE/MAX
3000 Ltd./Ltée and has worked in the real estate industry for over 25 years. In
1988 Annette began her career in Rocky Mountain House Alberta as a sales
associate. Returning to her native Neguac in 1996, she continued to enjoy a
successful career in Miramichi’s real estate market and in May 2005, Annette
launched her own company RE/MAX 3000 Ltd./Ltée. The company has grown steadily
since its inception and currently maintains a professional sales team of eight
as well as two full time administrators.
Annette is passionate about her work and is a firm believer in goal setting which she credits to her success. She has earned countless awards for outstanding achievement and has successfully completed numerous training courses. Annette mentors all of her sales people and believes in continuous learning by offering training sessions on a regular basis.
She believes in giving back to the community and has been on the Board of directors of The Northern New Brunswick Real Estate Board, Big Brothers/Big Sisters Boys and Girls Club, Miramichi Chamber of Commerce and is currently on the board for the Miramichi Emergency Centre for Women. Clarissa Harris LeBreton

Clarissa Harris LeBreton is the Coordinator of Vision Health Promotion and Marketing with CNIB. Her responsibility is to plan, organize and market the vision health and fee for service initiatives across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island speaking about the importance of the health and safety of your vision.
Clarissa was born the youngest of nine children and raised ‘up river’. After leaving the area for eight years, she was happy to return in 1999 to replant her roots.
Clarissa’s studies involved French language training and Journalism at Holland College in PEI where she graduated in 1992 and spent several years working for small community newspapers, before making the leap into the world of sales and marketing where she has built her career.
Clarissa is known in the Miramichi community for her work within the health authority, where she held a community position and worked with programs like the Mango team, helping teach our citizens to reach their potential through the knowledge and awareness of healthy eating and physical activity.
She continues to volunteer with the program in events such as the Mango Fun Run- Go for 42 kid’s marathon. Clarissa is a member of HEPAC’s (Healthy Eating Physical Activity Coalition of NB) Marketing and Communications team and a member of the Northumberland Wellness Network. In past years, Clarissa has volunteered for the Canadian Diabetes Association, Croft Elementary School and the Miramichi Literacy Council.
